Upper Fillmore is getting another fancy boutique in the form of high-end shop Curve this fall. The new shop, which already has locations in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, will be located at 2360 Fillmore Street in the former Belmont Florist space. Movie buffs might also remember this spot was used in the S.F.-tastic movie Vertigo and housed Kiehl's before it moved a few blocks south earlier this year. “I love the newness of San Francisco and the young and innovative energy that is coming out of the city,” Curve owner Nevena Borrisova says in a statement. “I am absolutely in love with the city, its history and culture, and I jumped on the opportunity to create a luxury brick-and-mortar retail experience in a historic location. I’m so happy to plant roots in the Bay area, interact with the new technologies being born, and become a part of the luxury revolution taking place. It’s like the perfect combination of Europe and Manhattan.” And in that vein, the new shop will be an exclusive S.F. carrier of Balmain, Mugler, Christopher Kane, and Viktor & Rolf. Those brands will likely be mixed in with Curve mainstays like Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Alexander Wang, and Oliver Theyskens' collection for Theory, all in a lush Victorian setting. Pac Heights residents better start saving their pennies...like now.
