While we love grabbing juicy tacos and decadent desserts from a truck, when it comes to savory slices of pizza, food carts aren’t exactly the first place we’d look for some dough-y goodness. Until now, that is. Starting tomorrow, S.F.'ers can grab slices of top-notch Neapolitan-style pies that come fire-roasted from a custom, see-it-to-believe-it truck created by former Flour + Water chef, Jonathon Darsky.
The tricked-out Del Popolo truck was once a shipping container and now boasts a 5,000 pound (!!) oven that made the trip all the way from Naples. Now you can peep the wonder on wheels parked outside Bar Agricole, while Darsky serves up classic margherita and white pie with rapini slices. And, at $7 a pop, we’ll happily take both. See you at the front of the line!
When: Starting Tuesday, May 15, lunchtime
Where: Outside of Bar Agricole, at 11th and Folsom streets
