Calling us detail oriented would be an understatement. Everything in our apartment is always in its proper place, and nothing makes our skin crawl quite like a missing button. So, you can imagine how floored we were when Hayes Valley shop Department 17 sent over snaps from its sleek new collection. Composed of 100% Japanese cotton, these collared shirts are anything but corporate. Take one look at the craftsmanship, and it's obvious why customers are abuzz over these tailored tops.
While options like red and violet are certainly creative, it's the $118 stark-white number that's going to be a part of our regular summer rotation. On warmer days the lightweight shirt is thin enough to stand alone, but it can also be layered upon once the fog rolls in.

And, as if that wasn't enough to convince us to add this bad boy to our virtual shopping carts, upon closer inspection we discovered a faint polka-dot print that's perfectly playful. Talk about more than meets the eye!
