A news piece in this morning's WWD revealed that Giorgio Armani was donating 57.9 million dollars to the Milan-based Olimpia Armani Jeans basketball team, which is—firstly—a crazy amount of money, and—secondly—there exists a Armani Jeans basketball team. Armani himself is a sponsor and partial owner of the professional basketball team. Apparently, it is one of the most titled teams in Italy, and they do not wear bedazzled jerseys or square-toed sneakers, though we still like to imagine that they do. (Also, upon a quick Google search, this was the first image to come up for the team, which might be the most uninspiring basketball action shot we've ever seen). (WWD)
