These days, it seems like everyone and their mom can rise to Internet superstardom in snap — thanks to YouTube, Vimeo, Tumblr, and Pinterest (plus all of those crazy new platforms we have yet to discover!). However, unless you have an endless amount of time to filter through the nonsense that pollutes the web (like, really, another Adele cover?) — you're pretty much S.O.L.
Well, that's where The Disposable Film Festival comes in. They screen the year's most rad and riveting (not to mention, resourceful!) short films shot on low budgets and non-pro filmmaking gear, for you. We're talking about films shot on gadgets we use everyday, like iPhones, iPads, digital handycams, and even webcams. This way, you can get the best-of-the-best in low-budget film-making, sans the effort. To get a sampler of just how cool the 2012 lineup is, peep the utterly quirky trailer, here.
