It’s always sad to see love go sour, but if you ask us, it’s better to toast to new beginnings than wallow in the coulda, woulda, shoulda. And whether things ended on sweet or sad terms, we're guessing you might be left with one too many mementos of the past.... And wouldn't you like to donate the literal baggage from your yesteryears to a good cause? Well, that’s the spirit behind The Divorceé Sale, which turns unwanted possessions into charitable donations.
Here’s how it goes: divorceés bring the clothing, handbags, and shoes from their past lives to sell, and buyers can then shop gently worn and vintage goods from labels like Chanel, YSL, and Christian Louboutin. Not only can Angelenos score some major loot here, but proceeds go toward The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The pop-up sale continues through the end of the month, and is open to everyone. It doesn't matter if you're looking to drop off some goods or shop what’s available — just be sure to stop in before month's end!
When: Running through Saturday, March 31; open Wednesdays through Sundays, noon to 7 p.m.
Where: Melrose Pop-Up Shop, 8457 Melrose Avenue (at Melrose Avenue and La Cienaga Boulevard), 310-513-5252.
