Adam Green—the folkie hipster who's proven his cagey, sweaty genius to us time and again through music, performance, and sometimes just opening his mouth—has done it again, this time with a 70-minute film starring just a few of his friends. Shot partially on iPhone, the Wrong Ferrari: A Screwball Tragedy features star turns, guest appearances, and fleeting cameos by notables such as Macaulay Culkin, Cory Kennedy, Pete Doherty, Alia Shawkat, Devendra Banhart, Chris Egan, Isabelle McNally, Har Mar Superstar, Sky Ferreira, and Evan Dando to name a few working inside a non-existent budget and absurdist shooting style. As for the plot, well, folk-signer Green is late for his meeting with Nintendo Records when he gets waylaid figuring out how to score pet meds from local veterinarians and then… look it comes from the mind of Adam Green, ok? Let's just say that considering the fact that you can download it in HD for free here and that a character shouts "It's not what you think, officer, I'm just fucking this dog for my friend," on the set of a Nickelodeon game show all while staying well within the confines of the plot, it's probably worth 70 minutes of your time. Oh, and it is sooooo NSFW. (Corduroy)
