Eat, Drink, And Hit The Spa At The Revamped Hotel Bel-Air

If you thought L.A.'s classier days had long given way to trashier types, think again. The Hotel Bel-Air, a decades-old bastion of Old Hollywood glamour, will re-open its doors this October after an extensive renovation. The new Hotel Bel-Air maintains the classic Spanish-style "Bel-Air Pink" exterior, though the interiors have been tastefully redesigned in a sleeker, more modern aesthetic. The designers were careful to stay true to the hotel's historic individuality, recalling elements from '30s, '40s, and '50s. There will also be a new 12,000-square-foot fitness studio and spa by Swedish luxury beauty brand La Prairie, complete with three lofted guestrooms. A Wolfgang Puck restaurant will serve California cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences, and you can watch the seven resident swans drift on their own personal lake while enjoying the tolling of a brand-new bell tower to the tune of $565 per night.
