This App Will Change The Way You Get Dressed In The AM

We’ve come to rely on S.F.-based Everlane to supply our closets with every sleek basic we can imagine. From button-ups to minimalist culottes, the brand is lauded for its streamlined styles and transparent branding. Since launching in 2011, it has quickly become one the fastest growing e-tailers around — with a pretty stylish staff, to boot. Everlane is making it even easier to score its items (in case one-hour delivery isn’t enough) with a new app that is unlike any shopping app we’ve seen. Made in-house in its San Francisco HQ, the app doesn’t just offer a place for customers to score goods — it functions as a weather app, too. The app calculates the temperature of the area you’re in and suggests items to wear based on this information. Basically, it’s the ultimate answer to S.F.’s tricky microclimates. In addition to ensuring you’ll never leave the house unprepared, Everlane's app keeps users updated on its latest product launches before they hit the site. "When designing our app, we not only wanted to make the mobile shopping experience better, but make [it] fit naturally into our customer's daily life," Everlane CEO Michael Preysman tells Refinery29. "For many of us, the weather is one of the first things we check when we get up every morning and we thought of our customers wanting to know what to wear and when." The app can be downloaded for free on the Everlane site or in the iTunes store. Now excuse us — we've got some shopping to do.
