Jimmy McMillan, a.k.a. "The Rent Is Too Damn High" guy, is facing eviction from his St. Marks Place apartment. His rent is $872.96 a month, which is pretty damn low considering what New York real estate can cost, though apparently he's had the apartment since 1977 and paid only $275 a month for it. His landlord claims that McMillan has a second apartment in Brooklyn that is not only his primary residence, but also his "party HQ." In defense, McMillan said "Maybe the landlord doesn't know, but he can't bulldog me because I know the law." We're all for lower rent in the city, but we're wondering if this is a fight McMillan can win. Do you think he has a case? (Gawker)
