The City of Angels' best shoe boutique,
Mona Moore
, hosted a lovely little party last night to celebrate Laura and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte and their incredible new line of Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. The multi-textured sculptural kicks were certainly the centerpiece of the fête, but considering that L.A.'s most stylish came out to Abbot Kinney to toast the Rodarte designers, there was also plenty of outfit eye-candy on display. Stylist Jessica de Ruiter looked effortless in white-on-white, The Stronghold's Ryan Gray and photog Mike Selsky both rocked denim-on-denim, while MM owner Lisa Bush was turned out in Rodarte's badass booties. One person who wasn't teetering around in super-high-heels was Laura Mulleavy (whose Cleopatra eye-makeup was a serious scene-stealer). "I never wear our heels," she said with a laugh. Laura was, however, sporting the Rodarte x Repetto marbled ballet flats that are a cult classic, and the Mulleavys promise that their next Repetto collab, featuring small and sweet prints, will be stealing the soles of fashion-forward footwear lovers everywhere.
