I've come to accept the fact that I'll never understand eyeshadow. No matter how closely I follow the steps for applying it, I somehow always end up looking like my little cousin gave me an unfortunate makeover. "Use the lighter color on the browbone?" Got it. "Apply the second shade in the crease, and blend up and out toward the outer corner of the eye?" Done and done. Then, I look in the mirror: Nope, that can't be right.
So, when I saw this story on Byrdie about how to do all of your makeup with eyeshadow, I was intrigued. Some of the tips are obvious: Yes, you can use it as eyeliner. But, others are more unexpected, like mixing shadow with lip balm to create a tint for your pout. Although, we're still not completely convinced that you should let eyeshadow double as concealer.
But, even if you don't plan on covering up your blemishes with the stuff, you may still learn a thing or two over at Byrdie. Be sure to let us know: Will you be using eyeshadow to replace your other makeup anytime soon? (Byrdie)
