Want to get heady this weekend? If so, make sure you get yourself to Oakland's Uptown 'hood for a fancy-hats showcase by the Bay Area's finest milliners. Coming together for the first time to show off their fanciful wares and help spark interest in what's somewhat of a dying art, folks from Jasmin Zorlu, Kitty Andrews Millinery, Paul’s Hatworks, House of Nines, and Hey Sailor! Hats, and more, will all be involved. The event, dubbed FasHioNaTion: A Local Hat-Maker Design Show, will also involve education on how hats are made using the old hat-blocking method to mold felt, straw, and other materials. So, decorate yourself with your own fancy topper, and we'll see ya out there!
