Churning out fresh, innovative lookbooks year after year can be a grind. Michael Venker, former Helmut Lang intern and creative director of up-and-coming menswear line Rochambeau, uses chemistry to break away from the pack with his latest lookbook. The collection presents updated classics like drop-crotch chinos and crisp hooded trenches in "self-destructing" pictures, designed with "materials that will devour themselves." The "salvaged copper," silver, and gold images lend a grungy feel to the collection, enhanced by touches of flannel and plaid in roomy hoodies and cardigans. We're hoping that this line sticks around, even if its lookbook seems about to self-destruct.
