Love fashion? Partial to popcorn? Well, listen up. As part of London Short Film Festival, the lovely people at Fashion Popcorn are hosting a cinematic shindig this Thursday at Hackney Picture House.
Set up by Emily and Harriet Fleuriot back in 2010, Fashion Popcorn is about creating a community of creative types from the worlds of fashion, film, and digital media — and anyone in the mood for a serious fashion geek-out. After all, if Who Are You, Polly Maggoo? taught us anything, it's that fashion and film go together like Ice-T and Coco — a little bizarre, but ultimately a perfect match.

This is Fashion Popcorn's sixth event, and Emily and Harriet promise to showcase a mix of short fashion films spanning everything from the outrageously far-out to classic, visual stunners.
We're liking the sound of Amina, by Duncan Bone, that documents a woman waking up to find the pair of shoes that reveal her true soul. Which is pretty much exactly how we'd feel if we woke up next to a new pair of Nicholas Kirkwoods.
After the visual fashion feast there's a Q&A with some of the film makers and then it’s straight up to the glorious Hackney Picture House Attic for a free tipple and party, where you can network your little designer socks off.
Where: Fashion Popcorn #6, Hackney Picturehouse, 270 Mare Street, E8 1HE
When: Tuesday January 8; film screenings start at 6:45 p.m., party starts at 8 p.m. Tickets: £10 (screening and party), £5 (party only).
