When we think of braids and twists, we usually think soft, flowy, and romantic — not strong, stoic, and warrior. But at Fendi's fall '12 show, models stalked down the runway in tough twists that looked almost like battle headgear — two double strands of tightly-twisted, rope-like strands across the top of the head, paired with two pigtails divided into similarly twisted segments. According to Style.com, stylist Sam McKnight was going for a "Victorian, not fairy-tale," feel. While the texture of the twists is awesome, we're not sure how we feel about this whole warrior-princess vibe we're getting from the models — we just can't see ourselves trading in our romantic, airy twists for these more severe ones.
Your turn: Are you digging this 'do or do you think it's too harsh?
