Anyone in the District who professes to be a music buff knows (and most likely, loves) Fort Reno. The beloved concert series at this outdoor mecca for post-punk bands is one of the highlights of summer, and draws everyone from college kids to tattooed fixie-riders to young families.
But, have you ever wondered just how and when (and maybe even why) Fort Reno came to be such an institution? The folks over at Brightest Young Things have an insightful Q&A with current overseers Amanda Mackaye (yes, of that Mackaye family) and KC — it's well worth a read before this Thursday's show, especially if you love a good trip down Washington's musical memory lane.
