Get Back To Nature At This Super-Cool Art Exhibit

As much as we like to spend our weekends on the couch watching re-runs of Mythbusters, there are lots of much classier ways to spend your Sat-Sun in this big city (sorry, Jamie and Adam). Starting tomorrow, Gallery 151 is hosting an awesome new exhibit called
Woman:Camera
by Swedish-born artist Mia Berg, which aims to show how the human body fits into the natural world. Nine large photographs show Berg stripping herself of her clothes amongst gorgeous outdoor settings. her aim is not show vulnerability and nakedness in face of the elements, but rather to display that the human body is a seamless and natural part of the world when you remove all of the artificialities and get down to the bare skin. In addition to the snapshots, a documentary which follows Berg throughout the photography process will also be shown at the exhibition, capturing the artist at work. We're definitely thinking this show will give you and your friends (or your date) plenty to talk about, and, if anything, it's a great way to remember that there's a big, natural world out there...which is sometimes easily forgotten if you spend too much time in this concrete jungle.
