If the models were sweating under the hot sun, they definitely didn't show it this morning at the Generra show high atop Penthouse 15. Showing off the fittingly sun bleached, loose looks couldn't have been too hard. Effortless and light, the women's pieces included peasant dresses and safari skirts in meticulously tie-dyed prints and linens, while more fitted cropped jackets and vests added definition to the many outfits we loved. The menswear was a bit too subdued for our taste, featuring the usual fare of cropped chinos and thin tailored jackets. The women's palette, however, of pinks, beiges, and grays made for a covetable, and dare we say, calming summery look. Two Elle.com staffers put their stamp of approval on the collection: Violet Moon Gaynor, an editor, said she loved the cuts, which were "undone, but polished." We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
