Drink For A Cause: This L.A. Brewery’s Beer Fest Has A Charitable Twist

cgb
Crazy for craft brews? Well, if you're one of the many folks fixated on the latest libation trend that seems to be sweeping L.A. (and the nation), peep this! Golden Road Brewing, the youngest — but largest — craft brewery in L.A. is throwing a booze-themed shindig and it just happens to be for a great cause.
Founded last year by two entrepreneurial beer lovers, Golden Road Brewing encompasses environmentally sustainable practices with a flair for brewing, resulting in a menu of ales as varied and amazing as Los Angeles itself.
Celebrate the kick-off of the company's latest craft blend this Sunday afternoon. All proceeds will go to the Whole Foods Foundation, to empower and support people living below the poverty line, by helping them launch businesses through micro-credit loans. They've already given away over $15 million, and you can kick in (while enjoying some choice sips) to up that number just a few ticks.
