The six nominees for GQ Magazine's 2010 Best New Menswear Designers in America were announced today, and the competition is fiercer than Mariah Carey vs. J-Lo. The lucky men (and woman) include Burkman Bros' Doug and Ben Burkman, Richard Chai, Vincent Flumiani of Caulfied Prepatory (pictured), J. Crew's menswer designer Frank Muytjens, Billy Reid, and, from Unis, Eunice Lee. Saluting the white-hot wunderkinds of men's fashion, the winner receives a $50,000 cash prize and a GQ editor as a mentor. If that's not incentive enough for the pack to start some major sucking up to judges like CFDA's Steven Kolb and Calvin Klein's Italo Zucchelli, the number one stunner gets to create a limited editor collection for Levi's showcased at Bloomingdale's this fall and an editorial in the GQ September issue. Looks like some people's Fashion Week just got a lot more intense—the winner is revealed February 11th! (GQ)
