Are you one of the many green thumbs and farmers' market groupies that reside in the Bay? If so, you should take note of the National Heirloom Exposition coming to Santa Rosa this week. The three-day North Bay event, considered the "World's Fair" of the heirloom market, will include more than 200 farmers and heirloom-seed growers who will be supplying delish fruits and veggies from around the globe, and helping visitors to improve their own growing skills with gardening workshops. Plus, editors from Organic Gardening, Edible, and Grit magazines will speak about the issues that come with genetically engineered veggies. All proceeds from the event will benefit school garden and food programs. We can’t think of a better way to get our hands dirty!
