While we love our go-to weekend lineup of sleeping in, brunch, shopping, and drinks al fresco, we could certainly stand to infuse our time away from the office with a little bit of culture. First on our list this weekend? Prêt-a-Papier, a new exhibition at Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens that showcases the work of painter-turned-designer Isabelle de Borchgrave. The artist reinterprets iconic dresses in trompe l'oeil paper, and the result turns simple rag paper into stunning haute couture creations. The exhibit (the artist's first in D.C.) boasts more than 25 unique designs, including six brand-new dresses. Consider this your inspiration to rally your gal pals and head to the museum for an oh-so-stylish girls' day out, minus the sticker shock.
When: Saturday, June 16, through December 30; Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
