Show Up Hallmark With These DIY Holiday Cards

Making your own holiday greeting cards is one of those things that seem like a good idea at the time, but 50 ruined pieces of cardstock later (not to mention a coffee table ruined by glue and more paper cuts than you know what to do with), and you're left with cards that look exactly like the ones you made your parents in elementary school — which, in case you're wondering, is not a good thing.
For a DIY card that looks like it was created by an adult, we turned to NYC artist Caris Reid to walk us through the finer points of cardmaking. It turns out a pretty greeting card isn't all that hard to make, after all — just follow her steps to create a card that's almost too pretty to mail out.
