We don't know about you, but warm and wonderful winter drinks are one of our favorite things about the holidays. And since we're all about making you feel festive, we got the scoop on the W's winter cocktail menu and learned how to concoct our fave drink, the Hot Apple Butter Rum.
You'll need:
2 cups of water
5 ounces of apple butter
3/4 ounce of lemon juice
1/2 stick of unsalted butter
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
Pinch of salt
Heat all ingredients in a saucepan, stirring occasionally. Add 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of white or dark rum per every 4 ounces of hot apple butter mix. Pour into an Irish coffee glass or mug, and garnish with apple slices.
