Whether we're visiting the Vans headquarters or the Urban Decay offices, one thing's for sure — a successful work environment is all about a sense community. But, for those of us not blessed with a cool corporate atmosphere, sharing a coffee shop or collective space with strangers can be overwhelming (and at times annoying!). That's exactly why Hub LA's downtown location is the new go-to for any office-challenged Angeleno. The members-only project isn't Soho House-status, but is exclusive to "impact professionals," a.k.a. locals who use their work to provide social innovation. Basically, it's the next big thing that everyone in DTLA wants to be a part of!

We got a sneak peek of the 4,500-square-foot idea lab last week, and it's just as inspiring as the members who will regularly visit its studios, conference rooms, and offices. To kick off the happening hot spot, Hub LA is hosting key events for Social Media Week (mark your iCals, it starts today!). And, if you're looking to learn more (or just see where all the cool kids will be grinding away), swing by the open house this Saturday. The founders will be on hand to take you on a tour and answer any application questions you may have. Plus, there will be free iced brew from Handsome Coffee Roasters until 1 p.m. Hubba hubba!
When: September 29, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Hub LA, 830 Traction Avenue, #3A (near Avery Street); no phone.
