A Fountain Of Perfume Comes To Brooklyn

humanity-fountain-1
A perfume fountain may seem more like something straight of out of Alice In Wonderland or an epic fantasy novel, but apparently it's a reality in Brooklyn. Greenpoint's McGolrick park is now home to the Humanity Fountain, which emits an all-natural fragrance that carries across much of the park's acreage. The water sculpture is the work of artist Anne McClain and five other Brooklyn artists, built to answer the question: "Can compassion be transmitted with scent?" The odor is supposed to inspire quotidian acts of compassion, and the perfume, the Humanity Fragrance First Edition, is also available to purchase at select retail outlets.
