Bound For An Inaugural Ball? Here’s Where To Get Your Amazing Outfit

President Obama won’t be sworn in for a second term until January 21, but the post-election and pre-inauguration celebrations are already picking up — along with all those holiday parties and formal family gatherings in the not-so-distant future, too. To ensure that you're equipped with the perfect dress for your next fancy, seasonal event, Hu’s Wear is teaming up with famed L.A. vintage boutique Decades and Champagne powerhouse Dom Pérignon to bring you a special Inauguration Salon.
And, naturally, since nobody gets inaugural fever like we do here in the District, it’s only fitting that this will be unlike any pop-up shop you’ve ever experienced. Launched last night and running through the end of November, the salon offers an overflowing array of exclusive designer and couture gowns by Chanel, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Christian Dior, just to name a few. You'll also find an impressive rotating stock of shoes, bags, jewelry, and other accessories from contemporary brands, like Katie Ermilio, Judith Leiber, and Nikki Baker.

Craving some bubbly for the occasion? The window displays are built from special David Lynch-designed bottles of Dom Pérignon, which staffers will periodically pop and serve to guests (you can scoop your own at Pearson's or Schneider's for $150). Even if you're not attending a ball this winter, it's worth the trip just for the swoon factor.
When: Now through Friday, November 30. Hours are Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: 2906 M Street NW; 202-342-2020.
