We've done our fair share of browsing (and buying) at our local Intermix, but we have to say that the M Street outpost leaves something to be desired. The word cramped comes to mind, if we're being completely honest; We often find ourselves getting our designer fill via the website, just to avoid bumping elbows at the brick-and-mortar shop.
Luckily, it seems the team at Intermix has heard our gripes, as they're now making the move to greener (and bigger!) pastures. The store will be taking over the large — we're talking 2,500-plus-square-feet large — corner spot at 3300 M Street NW, giving them plenty of room for all the Elizabeth and James, Tory Burch, and Dannijo a girl could ask for. Expect the new boutique to debut later this summer (exact date TBD), so try and keep your piggy bank intact until then. (Georgetown Dish)
