"One love from carriage to hearse / 'Til the end of time we'll always be / The Outsiders."
Those lyrics score pretty high on the Taylor Swift drama-meter, but the way Io Echo sings 'em, they sound like a beautiful, sun-soaked dream. The L.A.-based duo calls themselves "pastel doom," and if you've heard their debut album, Ministry of Love, you know it swoops from woozily romantic, cracked-heart laments to deliriously danceable electro-pop in a single bound (can Tay Swift do that?).
If you haven't heard Io Echo yet, today's your lucky day. Check out this exclusive version of "Outsiders," courtesy of H&M below, and find out why every Coachella-goer worth their indie credit card has 'em on their short list of bands to see.
