Here’s A Good Reason To Send An iPad Across The World

President's Day is around the corner and we're feeling patriotic. Now, we know Miamians are guilty of overindulging in almost every aspect of our lives – we shop too much, tan too much, party too much, and eat way too much. But don’t get it twisted – we’re do-gooders too! What started out last year as one Key Biscayne family – Wes and Winnie Pritchett – gifting their son an iPad as a way of staying in touch while he was overseas serving in Afghanistan has now turned into a full-fledged operation known as iPads for Soldiers. Since then, 600 troops overseas and recovering in hospitals stateside have already received iPads. They use them to read books, play games, and connect with the outside world. Come on – did you ever doubt us? We Miami peeps get by with a little help from our friends. And we know how to give back.
