"We love the idea of taking this kind of Maude Lebowski older-woman style and putting it on a dirty Brooklyn girl," explained Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai of their latest delivery. "I think that the studded, ripped, shaved, distressed look that's been really popular for so long is becoming a little oversaturated," Mayock added. "We were trying to bring back something chic, but eccentric." Our picks from the runway included an asymmetrical orange cupra jersey dress, a gauze men's shirt detailed with safety pins, and a splatter-paint bustier dress that was actually inspired by one of Buhai's mother's dresses from the '80s. Yestatdt Millinery visors, Persol sunglasses, purple lipstick (trend watch!), and blue nails added to the models' look of ageless mystery. Of course, cool-girl style could also be found in the audience with Lissy Trullie offering her own downtown spin on a Hervé Leger, Julia Frakes rocking some Pendleton, and Fabiola Beracasa donning a vintage headband as a necklace. Clever.
