J.Crew Opening Men’s Shop In Westfield Mall This October

As we stated earlier this week, San Francisco men have it made when it comes to stellar shops catering just to them. And they're all about to get even luckier with the impending opening of a new J.Crew shop, strictly for the guys, in mid-October!
WWD
has it that the on-fire preppy-chic company has bought the shop next door to its current unisex shop in the Westfield Mall, and is looking to divide its male, female, and kids' offerings throughout the two spaces. It seems that the original J.Crew shop will become a men's-only store—much like the two men's shop (and another on the way) that currently exist in Manhattan—and the new shop next-door will be for women, with a Crewcuts kids' section in the back. Both stores will be connected, so boy-girl shopping dates should be a cinch. As for the interiors, J.Crew says that the new men's shop "will be gentlemanly and slightly moody," with cherry wood finishes and a special area just for suiting and shoes. "Our men’s customers are savvy, and know what they like, and enjoy having their own environments where they feel comfortable shopping," says J.Crew's VP of men's design, Frank Muytjens. "We are always looking for just the right space, and opportunity for more as they come open. When it feels right, we will open more.” Who's excited?
