Seems like the L.A. Unified School District isn't a fan of Brit celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. After his Food Revolution in Huntington, West Virginia, where he overhauled the school lunch menu, Jamie's attempt to do the same right here in L.A. is being nixed by the school board, who are reluctant to open their schools to the "drama" and "conflict" of reality TV (remember what happened in Laguna Beach?) We don't know about you but we sure would have appreciated some Naked Chef-approved meals back in the day when we were in the classroom. But local foodies, don't fret yet, you still have a chance to experience some Jamie magic at his community kitchen in Westwood, where he'll be teaching locals how to cook healthy meals. We're getting hungry just thinking about it! (GrubStreet)
