For anyone who grew up obsessing over Sassy and Jane magazines, you're not going to want to miss this morning's story in WWD. Jane Pratt's upcoming web endeavor, JanePratt.com, has been a fairly public project, as is her bringing on teen blogging queen Tavi Gevinson to head up the upcoming teen component. Jane Pratt's been credited with pioneering the kind of smart, snarky writing that defined '90s mags, but whether she's up for doing the same with the online world is still up in the air. Says Jane, “Everything I’ve done in my career has been about gathering strong voices and making them more mass. This is the perfect fit. It feels like the technology has finally caught up with what I always wanted to do.” JanePratt.com, which is targeted towards "the girl that is fortysomething and doesn’t feel fortysomething” will be launched within the next couple months. The teen-directed site that'll be updated monthly will debut this summer. (WWD)
