Step aside, Katz’s, there’s a new kosher eatery in town and it’s doling out so much more than your standard bagels and lox. In fact, this new Jewish joint isn’t a deli at all!
Jezebel, coming next week to Soho, will be serving up modern American cuisine that just so happens to be kosher. Jewish nightlife connoisseurs and ex-financiers Henry Stimler and Menachem Senderowicz founded the buzzy eatery to fill the haute Kosher restaurant void and they’ve hired Bradford Thompson, formerly of Café Boulud, as culinary director to whip up plates running the gamut from roasted bone marrow and Cornish hen to seaweed-salt baked branzino and a peanut, anise, and strawberry dessert. If the grub isn’t enough to persuade you to check it out, the hilarious "Last Supper"-inspired artwork might — in lieu of Christ and the apostles, Jezebel’s rendition features Woody Allen, Shia Leboeuf, Natalie Portman, Jack Black, and other Jewish celebs.
