Jimmy Fallon's been on a roll this week, delighting crowds at the U.S. Open with his "Single Ladies" moves, lip-sync battling with Ellen, and debuting a new History of Rap with Justin Timberlake. Last night, he added to that list, transforming into Donald Trump and interviewing the real Donald Trump (as his reflection, in the mirror).
Some highlights:
Faux Donald Trump: "The only one qualified to interview me is me." Real Donald Trump (in response to a question about how he'll create jobs): "I'll just do it." Real Donald Trump: "Look, I'm really rich." And of course, the moment where they both agreed that Kanye West would make the ideal running mate (preferable to Gary Busey, naturally).

The sketch was followed by an actual interview with a little more push-back on some of the policy ideas (or lack thereof) that didn't sit right with the host, but nothing particularly groundbreaking.
This was Trump's first appearance on a late-night show since he announced his candidacy in June. And it paid off for Fallon, with his best Friday-night ratings in 18 months. We'll be interested to see if that holds true for Colbert, when Trump visits his show on the 22nd. And also, if the Late Show host will push a bit harder on the candidate, with tougher questions.
Side note: Fallon isn't the only one who can transform seamlessly into The Donald. Below, you can watch our intern do it in a mere 30 seconds.
