Come this Friday, two larger-than-life mega-stars will collide right here in S.F.: Olympic ice-skating avant-garde icon Johnny Weir and a towering 83-foot tree, all in the name of Macy's 22nd Annual Great Tree Lighting Ceremony in Union Square.
And while we're hyped to see this giant tree lit up (by Johnny!) with 33,000 sparkling LED lights and thousands of shiny ornaments, as any fashion fan knows, the real excitement will be in seeing what on earth Johnny Weir will be rocking on the ice. A fuzzy Rodarte bodysuit? Custom Christian Louboutin ice skates? The sky is the limit with this dude, so who on earth knows!

Naturally, MAC Cosmetics will be pitching a "Glitter and Ice Tent" where you can meet and greet Johnny, too. We're so down for this one. And we suggest you grab your camera, your best faux fur coat, and we'll see you in the square.
When: Friday, November 25, 6 p.m. Come early to score the best spot in the park!
Where: Union Square Park, Powell Street (at Geary); 415-477-2610.
