You know we're all about championing new designers, so when we saw Jonathan Simkhai's début line, we immediately thought that this dude has got staying power. The New York-based designer was a buyer (and a college cheerleader!) before transitioning to the other side of the fashion biz, and his gimlet retail eye serves his fall '10 collection pretty damn well. He decided to reinterpret menswear to put a fresh spin on an old trend—his re-imagination of men's classics includes a pair of silk lamé boxers, a cropped oxford with a bow-tie, and a bad-ass tuxedo jacket, all in over-sized silhouettes with a subtle sex appeal for that borrowed-from-the-boys look that feels anything but stale. Plus, his lookbook is capped off with an extreme top-knot that's an option to keep the hair off our necks. Suddenly, we're even more excited to put on a blazer and trousers again!
