Garry Marshall and Julia Roberts — the collaboration that wrought the ultimate "hooker with a heart of gold" movie — are out to ensure you never forget to call your mother on Mother's Day.
Deadline has confirmed that Marshall is working on adding another Hallmark holiday movie (remember Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve?) to his themed collection, with his latest film Mother's Day. This time around, the litany of celebs taking part will include the aforementioned Roberts, while Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, and Jason Sudeikis are "in negotiations," according to Deadline. We can only assume that more, and Hector Elizondo, are on the way. This marks the fourth collaboration between Marshall and Roberts, who appeared in Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, and Valentine's Day.
Per Deadline, the movie's structure will be familiar to anyone who has passing knowledge of the previous "Day" movies, featuring "intertwining stories" about moms. Here is hoping Marshall brings Taylor Swift, who made her film debut in Valentine's Day, back as Roberts's pop superstar daughter who, after forgetting to get her mother a gift, dedicates a song to her at an enormous concert.
