While J. Mendel may be known for its feminine and delicate dresses, you might not guess it from the Wednesday night after-party to celebrate the spring '13 runway show. Hosted by Gilles Mendel, himself, the designer got wild, leaving the tunes to guest DJ Sia, who created a major dance floor moment at No. 8 with hip-hop classics like "No Diggity" and "No Scrubs." ?!
While we didn't get Mr. Ocean's number (not for lack of trying), his sex appeal wasn't lost on the model posse — including stunners like Lily Kwong, Kate Mock, and IMG's latest superstars, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls, who are sure to hit mainstream fame thanks to their new gig co-hosting MTV's House Of Style. The dynamic duo hammed it up with Mendel, taking to the stage to announce the Channel Orange crooner.
During Ocean's set, Karlie and Joan — who stood in front of us — may have obstructed our Instagram view, but who could complain when they looked so damn good? — Kloss rocking a white J. Mendel gown and Smalls in a Balmain vest and leather hat that mixed straight-up glam with a little bit of street. Together with the hard-not-to-love Gilles, they presented one awesomely adorable power threesome. Let's hope Mr. M is one of their first guests. Throw in Frank, and we're ready to say pretty please.
