Kelly Bergin’s Uptown Wearables Debut at Fashion Week

For her New York debut, Kelly Bergin offered us an Upper-East-Side style cocktail of high-waisted mini skirts, dresses, and floral-printed blouses. Generally keeping things "classic," Bergin also experimented with diamond-shaped cutouts on the back of her basic wears—a touch that took the light offering beyond the typical uniforms of the Ladies Who Lunch. The clothes were feminine, simple, and—Ms. Bergin wanted us to know—full of pockets. "Women love pockets!" she explained. Yes, true. While the clothes might have bordered on predictable, they were indeed wearable, and it's easy to see how any of the pieces could be a safe pick for a girl on the hunt for a new everything-dress.
