It’s a hard pill to swallow that one of S.F.’s coolest gals on the block is bidding adieu to our fair city. Kelly Malone, one of the Bay’s best tool-toting woodcrafters of Workshop fame is peacing out from these topsy-turvy hills for her hometown of Philadelphia. Really, it’s all starting to feel like one bad break-up — is anyone else craving Ben & Jerry’s all of a sudden?
However, this doesn’t mean we can’t hold onto a keepsake to remember the rad imprint Malone has undoubtedly left on this city. Yep, that means her DIY emporium will remain open until she returns and she’s throwing one last shebang for us to do just that! At this Tuesday’s "My Life For Sale" shindig, we can literally nab anything (for a price) from her woodworking tools and terrariums to vintage wares and retro bicycles.

And if there’s anything that could make us feel better about Malone’s departure, it’s this one last hurrah. Needless to say, we wouldn’t miss it for the world. You, too? Get the details below and don’t forget to tote along some Kleenex!
When: Tuesday, January 8, noon to 9 p.m.
Where: Workshop, 1798 McAllister Street (at Baker Steet); 415-874-9186.
