Kendall Jenner Has Been Dressing Exactly Like We Used To In 2000

You know who she is. The girl who spends her afternoons figuring out which Abercrombie & Fitch sales-employee-slash-"model" she's going to give her number to, while she runs errands between Cinnabon and Claire's for a new set of earrings. She's the mall rat from the early 2000s, and she can't be stopped. You can spot her, Sidekick in hand, texting until her French tips fall off, hair flat-ironed just so. You probably cringe because you recognize it — in fact, we were all her at one point or another. Kendall Jenner reminded us of this yesterday when she was out and about with pal Hailey Baldwin. Her outfit was stylish, sure, in a very model-off-duty way. But let's call a spade a spade: The outfit gave us pause because it was basically our favorite mall lewk of 2000, only updated for 2015. Seriously — the only thing missing was those tatami-mat platform flip flops. There's that mock-neck ribbed shell in the very '00s color, pumpkin, along with a low-rise, light-wash denim skirt. Can't you hear the BBMak playing in the background?

Here, Kendall wears that skin-tight boatneck shirt that we used to pick up by the bundle during end-of-season sales at Express. And worn with cropped skinnies (that — let's be serious, are really just capris) and white adidas, like — HELLO. THAT WAS US. WE WORE THAT. Next up for Kendall: cap-sleeve shirts, babydoll tops, hibiscus flower patterns, random glitter, silly kanji, and square yellow sunglasses with rhinestones in the shape of a heart. Grab your Orange Julius and settle in — it's going to be a good show.
