Until now, the best song we've ever heard about Miami came from The Golden Girls, and went something like "Miami, Miami, you've got style, blue skies, sunshine, white sand by the mile." But while that little duet between the iconic Bea Arthur and the resilient Betty White will always hold a special place in our hearts, we've got a new jam that's a whole lot catchier and has, well, a lot more swag. Singer Kezia, originally from New Zeland, has joined The Lizards for the song "My Miami," a tribute to the things she loves most about her new home. And while you shouldn't expect anything too deep or evocative lyrics-wise, the song boasts a killer beat and a ridiculously catchy tune that will lodge itself in your brain after the first listen. Seriously, we're going to be singing "M-M-M-M-M-M-Miami" from now through July. Plus, we're loving that the video embraces Magic City kitsch in its own way, and makes retro bathing suits, hoop earrings, and clashing colors look pretty damn cute, instead of tacky. Which, trust us, is no small feat.
Check out the video below, and let us know: Is "My Miami" going to be your summer jam?
