Shoe Match Made In Heaven: Kirna Zabête X Nine West

Kirna Zabête's recent line for Target was met with tepid fanfare as far as designer collaborations go (to be fair, when we consider the ceiling for collabs — Missoni for Target or Versace for H&M — the standards seem pretty high), but the NYC retailer isn't done yet. Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini of Kirna Zabête are teaming up with Nine West for a six-month-long collaboration that consists of high heels, midheels, flats, and — egads, if we must — flip-flops, which will retail between $49 and $169.

This will be the first time the women have made shoes, and judging from the first sketch, they're natural shoe designers: The deep fuchsia color is right on trend as is the double-ankle strap and the pin-thin heel…though we're a little unsure of those fuzzy toe bits. Whether they're marabou feathers or radioactive pipe cleaners, we prefer to make sure that our party shoes don't double as a Swiffer. Shop for the collection starting this February at Nine West stores, at
Kirna Zabête, and online at both retailers' e-commerce sites. (WWD)
