LACMA is getting a dash of the dashing with their latest addition, film critic Elvis Mitchell. The former New York Times critic will be heading west to fill the open position as curator of a new weekly series of Old Hollywood and foreign auteur films, succeeding the current Tim Burton-dedicated exhibit. This is a blast from the past for this dapper gentleman and longtime host of the KCRW radio show The Treatment, harkening back to his first job as a young man selling tickets at LACMA's Bing Theater. Another New York export gone cross-country that we're sure will be a big hit! (MediaBistro)
