Lady Gaga Was Not The First Meat Dress Wearer According To Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Book

Buzz around Lady Gaga's meat dress was probably deserved (because that ish is disgusting), but she definitely wasn't the first to wear a flesh frock. According to Ripley's Believe It Or Not's new book, Enter If You Dare!, that honor belongs more to Jia Jem from Chicago, Illinois, who fashioned a dress with salami ("because it's thin") and bacon ("because it looks meaty") to wear to a friend's party. Other highlights from the book include a French designer making a headdress out of rat carcasses, a Romanian woman making an entire wardrobe from her own hair, and a Tunisian man who created a pair of pants with a 22-story tall waistband. So, there you go. Lady Gaga's in good company.
