Are you dreaming about the entire Proenza, Marc, or Rodarte collection in your closet now? Us too. Wake up and welcome to the age of (nearly) instant runway gratification with the launch of Moda Operandi. Top designers have teamed up with M'O to create the first-ever luxury shopping experience that allows customers to buy directly off the runway—live as of Wednesday. So if you think you can rock the outfit that Arizona Muse is wearing, it can be yours, like, now. The site was co-created by two women who we trust to be our direct liaisons to the runways of fashion shows all over the world: Lauren Santo Domingo (Contributing Editor at Vogue) and Aslaug Magnusdottir (most recently at Gilt Noir). Preorders for ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories will be available on the site in as little as 48 hours from their debut. And it seems people are fine with spending gobs of cash—initial response from the first sale, with designer Alex Wang, "has been very positive," according to a spokesperson. Moda Operandi is the ultimate virtual trunk show for the most serious designer shoppers, who are asked to officially request for a membership to the site. In exchange, M'O promises you will never have to wear anything that's been "watered down" through the retail market. Instant gratification never looked so good! Oh, and where's our membership?
