'Tis the season where it seems like everyone and their mamas are checking in at LAX via Facebook, Twitter, or Four Square. And, along with those updates comes an inevitable "ugh" and unhappy emoticon. Well, we're pretty positive those Expedia operators are getting an unexpected surge in bookings since Westfield (the folks behind those malls in Culver City, Century City, and more), announced an expansion with Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa at LAX. Coming this spring, frequent flyers will witness a brand-spankin'-new Tom Bradley International Terminal, complete with 50 dining and luxury retail concepts. Looks like we're about to rack up the miles in a major way.

Between Victoria’s Secret, Bvlgari, and Coach, we suggest you pack a spare suitcase for all the pre-flight shopping that will occur. And, no longer will Pink's Hot Dogs be your go-to choice for gate-waiting munchies — ink.sack, Umami Burger, Short Cake, and a slew of other restos are setting up shop, too. Time out: Did LAX just become the biggest foodie destination in L.A.? It's pretty plane to see that the airport's heading in that direction! (Racked LA)
